The Records Division supports all areas of the Police Department. Its Records Windowresponsibilities include maintaining, processing, and filing all police reports received by the department. For any inquiries about records, please contact the City Secretary.

Allied Law Enforcement, Government Entities or Subpoenas Information

Open Records Request Information

Open records request may be submitted through our online Open Records Request Portal. If you cannot use the system, below are other methods of the request. Any request received via email to Robin or in-person will be entered into NextRequest upon receipt.

Texas Crash Reports

To obtain a copy of an accident report, the “Texas Peace Officer’s Crash Report” (CR-3) is now available through the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) website. For minor accidents, you may make an Open Records Request to the City. The fee for accident reports is $6 per report if obtained in the office. The reports are available online after the report is submitted by officers. 

Blue Form

This report is completed by a driver involved in a traffic enforcement officer; the apparent damage is not $1,000 or more or when the crash did not result in injury or death. Effective Sept. 1, 2017, per the 85th Texas Legislature Senate Bill 312, the Driver’s Crash Reports (Form CR-2) are no longer retained by the Texas Department of Transportation. The drivers involved in a crash not investigated by a police officer should retain this form for their records.
