Warn Central Texas

Warn Central Texas is a Regional Notification Service (RNS) you may enroll in for free. In order to receive emergency alerts from your City, County, and other regional governments, you must also sign up for alerts through WarnCentralTexas.org. Click HERE to sign up.

Warn Central Texas is a program promoting voluntary registrations for the regional notification system (RNS) used by the Capital Area Council of Governments and its regional government partners in Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Hays, Lee, Llano, Travis, and Williamson counties. The RNS program is powered by Everbridge, which allows local officials to contact people in their communities by cellphone, email, text, or mobile app during disasters or public safety events.

Other emergencies, such as wildfires, tornadoes, and severe weather, also occur in our area, so planning and preparation are vital to protecting life and property.

LCRA Flood Operations Notification Service (FONS) 

The LCRA Flood Operations Notification Service (LCRA FONS) alerts subscribers of flood operations at dams along the

Highland Lakes and Lake Bastrop by email, text, and a recorded phone call. See the FONS Frequently Asked Questions for more information.


How do I sign up?

Complete the online registration form or call LCRA at 512-578-3246. The online registration is through RAVE, a third-party provider that sends the alerts, and takes about two minutes.

Be prepared and get alerts when it’s time to evacuate, create your emergency supply kit and your evacuation plan.
