Code Enforcement

Code Enforcement helps maintain and improve the quality of Lago Vista's neighborhoods by operating programs that ensure public compliance with the City Building Code and other state construction codes. Additionally, we respond to customer complaints of potential Code violations and initiate fair and unbiased enforcement action to correct those violations and educate property owners to maintain code compliance.

Residential Utility Rates

Utility bills are mailed at the end of each month and you should receive your bill by the 5th.

Contractor Registration

To ensure development occurs according to the Lago Vista Municipal Code and accepted safety standards, we require that new construction projects and major remodels apply for a permit. As of January 1, 2023 most permits require the applicant to be registered with the City of Lago Vista in accordance with a recently adopted ordinance. The most recent list of registered contractors (updated monthly) and the violation record is available.

Green Center

The City of Lago Vista provides a number of green services that are available to residential utility customers at no additional cost. On the first Thursday and Saturday of each month, the Green Center serves as a collection center for tree trimmings and brush.

Clean Up Days

he semi-annual Lago Vista Clean-Up Days is a service of the City of Lago Vista Public Works Department. The event is open to all Lago Vista residents with a City utilities account for water/sewer/trash services.
