Code Compliance

Welcome to Code COMPLIANCE

Overview

The Code Compliance Division, a part of the Development Services Department, is dedicated to maintaining and improving the quality of Lago Vista’s neighborhoods. Our mission is to promote community health, safety, and aesthetics by ensuring public compliance with the Municipal Code and applicable state regulations.

The division investigates potential code violations, takes impartial enforcement action to correct them, and provides education and resources to help residents and property owners maintain compliance.

Code Compliance Officers work closely with residents, businesses, and neighborhood associations to encourage voluntary compliance and uphold community standards throughout Lago Vista.

Report a Code Violation

The Code Compliance Division responds to citizen complaints and conducts proactive inspections to identify conditions that may create blight, impact neighborhood appearance, or affect public health and safety.

Our primary goal is to achieve voluntary compliance through education, communication, and cooperation. Each report is investigated, but please note that some cases may take time depending on the nature of the violation or coordination with other agencies.
